Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between independent audit and sworn-in accountant certification?
Independent audit gives an opinion on the financial statements as a whole and provides investor/bank assurance. YMM certification attests compliance with tax legislation (for example VAT refunds, full certification) and is submitted to the tax authority.
How is the audit fee determined?
The fee depends on company size, transaction volume, the quality of the accounting system, risk level and auditor hours required. A fixed fee proposal is given after the scoping meeting.
Is it possible to change auditors?
Yes. A change of auditor is made by general assembly resolution and registered with the Trade Registry. A handover meeting is held with the previous auditor; we manage all documentation during this process.
How long does an audit take?
In a mid-sized company the interim phase takes one to two weeks and the year-end phase three to five weeks. The calendar is shared at the scoping meeting and varies with management's data preparation.
Can you provide advisory services to a company you audit?
Under independence rules, services involving management responsibility cannot be provided to an audited company. Some services, such as tax advice, may be offered only within legal limits and independence safeguards.
